The Hotel is not nearly as nice and well-kept as the pictures suggest. The pool is smaller than we had expected. The welcome was driven by complex administrative procedures, cordial would have been different.
To make things worse, we had been allocated room 210, which seems to neighbor the machine of the elevators: there was a regular loud rumbling almost all through the night which felt as if there was a metro stopping right underneath our bed. Hotel personnel seemed surprised (not credibly so), apologized, and offered a change of rooms. We wondered - if they had alternative rooms available, why would they have put us up there in the first place? Was this meant to be a punishment for booking at hotels.com?
By the way, unless you come with a really small car, better leave it outside the city walls in Parking Mezquita de Cordoba (at €13,50): the drive into and out of the hotel garage (€22,50) is a test of your driving skills which gets harder the bigger your vehicle !
Given that the location could hardly be better right in the old town, we do not give the experience the worst available rating.
