I searched the hotel under 3 bdrm requirement. Expedia showed that the Jeffrey duplex in this hotel has 3 bdrms, 1 King bed, 1 Queen Bed, and 3 twin bed and a sofa bed to house a total of 6 guests. I booked this hotel with that expectation in mind. When we checked into Jeffrey duplex late at night due to severe weather on Dec. 23rd, we found that there is only 1 bdrm with a Queen bed, one full size bed and a twin bed in a half bdrm upstairs that is open to the downstairs living room. Due to the room construction, Jeffrey duplex has a strange acoustic problem between the half bedroom and the living room. And due to lack of available beds, one of us had to sleep in the sofa bed for the duration and having trouble with the noise interference with upstairs people. To make situation worse, on the day of Christmas eve, 2nd day of our arrival, the unit's heater system broke down. Although the lodge manager tried very hard to fix the problem, we had to rely on firewood to heat up the unit in freezing cold weather but suffered with smokes from the stove for the remaining two days of our stay. The manager was kind enough to refund one of the night's fee to us as part of the compensation for our suffering. We had to try hard to make the best out of the bad accommodation experience.
