I had booked a room with a king bed well in advance, but upon arrival, I was informed that my reserved room was not available. Instead, they offered me a room with two double beds. This was not what I had specifically selected and paid for, which was incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, the hotel itself felt grungy and unclean. The common areas were poorly maintained, and our assigned room left much to be desired. Everything from the carpets to the bathroom fixtures felt outdated and in disrepair. I had hoped for a pleasant stay, but upon entering the room, I could not shake off the feeling of discomfort.
After seeing the room, I immediately wanted to check out and seek a refund, but the front desk staff informed me that because I had already checked in, they were unable to accommodate my request. I was extremely disappointed by their lack of customer service and unwillingness to rectify the situation.
Fortunately, I reached out to Hotels.com for assistance. They were understanding and helpful, and within a short period, they provided me with a full refund. Their excellent customer service saved the day, and I will definitely be booking through them in the future.
Overall, I cannot recommend Maui Beach Hotel. Between the unavailability of my reserved room, the unsatisfactory conditions of the hotel, and the lack of support from the staff, this place fell far short of expectations. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for your accommodation needs.
