Mid-Beach is a captivating area centrally located in Miami Beach. Here, travellers will find sand, surf, and a bold art scene. Situated north from 23rd to 63rd Streets and east from Indian Creek to the Atlantic, this dynamic destination includes the upscale Oceanfront, Bayshore, and Nautilus areas. It is where glamorous hotels, such as the iconic Fontainebleau Miami and Eden Roc, and the rich nightlife attract stylish crowds.

Along with the arresting buildings of the Collins Waterfront Architectural District, Mid-Beach also has plenty of places to spend time outdoors, such as the Miami Beach Boardwalk, which leads you past estates on Millionaires Row, or North Bay Road.

Mid-Beach highlights

Eclectic experiences await in Mid-Beach. For those looking to bask in the sun and maybe score a hole-in-one, then a visit to Miami Beach Golf Club is in order.

If you’re ready to delve into another side of the area, then a visit to the $1.2 billion Faena Arts District is in order. Founded by Argentine hotelier Alan Faena, the stretch from 32nd to 36th Streets features a hip vibe with the Rem Koolhaas-designed centrepiece complex featuring the Faena Forum entertainment complex, Faena Bazaar, and Faena Park car park. Public art and experiences also take place year-round, especially during Art Basel in December.

Good to know when visiting Mid-Beach

Getting to Mid-Beach is a breeze on the Julia Tuttle Causeway, or I-95, which runs from Miami International Airport to the main road of 41st Street. Other access points include the 79th Street Causeway and the Broad Causeway.

While Mid-Beach has experienced a renaissance in development, the area is more relaxed and quiet than the neighbouring South Beach. It makes a fantastic getaway for couples, families, and discerning travellers who are into architecture, history, design, and epicurean experiences. It is also a convenient location to explore other parts of the city, including city centre and North Beach.
