Gulf Shores

Gulf Shores is a coastal city in Alabama known for its Gulf State Park beaches, trails, pier, golf course and zip lines as well as wildlife experiences and history. At the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, visitors have the opportunity to see migratory birds and sea turtles in their natural habitat. In the western region of the city, Fort Morgan stands sentinel to guard Mobile Bay and has since the 19th century. At the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, families can not only see animals, but they can also get hands-on to pet creatures like kangaroos, sloths and lemurs.

For great dining on the beach, the Hangout Gulf Shores offers beachside seafood. The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail offers hiking along dunes and wetlands, while those looking for shopping and dining can explore West Beach Boulevard. Golfers will find championship-level play at Craft Farms Golf Resort and Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. Military history is on display at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial where you can get on board a real battleship.
