Abano Terme is tucked into the Euganean Hills, and has some serious credentials when it comes to relaxation – it was ancient home of Aponus, god of thermal waters and curative virtues, after all. Today, the serene spa resort features a ritzy range of spa hotels, alongside a picturesque pedestrian core adorned with statues and fountains, where you'll find the town's shops, cafes, and restaurants.
