Cabins were spotless and well-equipped. Setting is idyllic. Check-in was a hassle. A mother and daughter run the place - had spoken to the daughter a few days before arrival - very friendly and helpful. She indicated either her or her mom would be there to check us in. Online, in our reservation, it had indicated check-in between 2 pm and 4 pm. We arrived a little bit after 2:30 pm. No one was there - called the number - daughter is surprised no one is there - said she would go call her mom. Mom arrives in her car 10 to 15 min later - doesn't apologize - just says daughter had told her we were coming at 3:00 pm. We were willing to overlook because we really wanted to like the place. Went fishing at the pond with our two sons - my youngest son catches his first fish. Long story but a big man, I assume one of the groundskeepers, comes running and yelling at us, spitting mad. Calls for the mother - maybe he thought we were going to keep the fish instead of throwing it back in the pond? We never find out but mother comes out, talks to him in Slovenian, rolls her eyes at us and basically treats us like dirt. Younger son sleeps in our bed that night, worried the big man is going to come pounding on our door. Yes, situation was difficult to resolve due to the language barrier but we really did not appreciate the attitude of the mother - her smile is all pretend friendliness.
