Overall, our 3 nights stay at the hotel was good and we would return to this place again. We enjoyed excellent service by each staff member, everyone was trying to fulfill all our wishes. The personnel at the pool/beach and at the breakfast restaurant remembered our preferences after the first day and called us by our names, very attentive. Some of the 'rules' and guidelines were changing during our stay (eg. use of the cabanas at the pool) but the staff handled this in a professional way. The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable and modern, probably a bit too stylish, with nice balconies directly facing the ocean - amazing. The sea got a bit rough during our stay but we still enjoyed swimming in the sea and in the pool. The beach was more or less clean, same goes for the sea. The only disappointment was a terrible smell stemming from the toilets in both of our rooms which could not be permanently solved until the end of our stay. We used the offer to hire a driver who drove us to some sightseeing places (Ubud, Tanah Lot etc.) - not only that he was driving very well (careful but not slow) it was also reasonable priced. The price level at the pool for drinks and food etc seemed to be reasonable for such a location, we did not have the feeling of being ripped off. 10 walking minutes away is a small plaza with restaurants (Italian, Argentinian, Japanese and local food as well as a grocery store (very expensive, catering mainly for European/US/AUS travelers).
