Hotel Kuramoto is very conveniently located in walking distance to the transportation hub, shopping in Shinsaibashi, restaurants of Dotonburi and nightlife in Americamura. Even though the interiors are a bit outdated and worn, they used high quality materials, so for example even if the elevator looks like from the 70s, you can tell it was state-of-the-art technology back then (it's so quiet, I never noticed when it was coming). And most importantly: rooms are spacious, comfortable, cozy and clean. The public bath (separate for men and women) on the ground floor is only open in the evening until 11pm and in the morning until 08:30am, yet it is lovely to relax and unwind. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, it's a very authentic Japanese experience to stay here, as not all of Japan is as hyper-modern as we expect.
