Great hotel, little pricey for what it is. Also charge alot for valet parking as thats really your only option. However its in a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ehh it's fine
It was okay. There are probably better hotels in the area at the same price range though. They give you a $25 credit for their grab-n-go section but don't really explain how to 'check-out' or that tax is not listed in the prices. The lobby is really small and typically crowded.

Worlds worse lifts tiny bedrooms
Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are incredibly small as are the beds.We are a family of 4 and wouldnt of coped in the rooms with the two tiny double beds. The hotel sorted us another room so we had the additional expense of another room but was worth it to be comfortable (we were there for 6 nights). Hotel lifts really let this hotel down terrible doesnt describe!. The lift situation is made worse by the fact 1 of the 3 lifts is roped off on an evening for the roof top bar. I find this poor beyond belief that they prioritise non guests that are spending a few dollars on cocktails rather than having all the lifts for all guests especially the ones that have paid thousands to stay. Lastly we have been home over a week and we are still waiting the deposit back for our rooms. I have emailed the hotel manager about this 4 days ago and have had no response. If you want a budget hotel in a good location and dont mind waiting 10 mins for a lift to arrive then id highly recommend, if not there are loads of other hotels in the same area

Full of large tour groups
Aliz Times Square primarily caters to large tour groups, but the staff seems unprepared to handle them. The small lobby becomes so crowded that getting in or out of the building is difficult. This is further complicated by non-guests who line up to take the elevator to the 40th-floor lounge in the evening. Only two of the three elevators were working during part of my stay, and the whole situation felt very unsafe to me.

Awful…
One of the worst hotel stays ive ever had. We were told a month in advance that we’d at least have rooms on the same floor - didn’t happen. Rooms were 16 floors apart. Huge problem. Was told I’d get a call from management, still waiting on that call 3 days later. Elevators are pretty much a death trap, the majority of the stay 2 out of 3 of them were broken. Someone got stuck in one of the elevators for over an hour. You cannot go up in floors in the elevator - so when they separate your family 16 floors, you have to ride all the way down - which takes a minimum of 10 minutes…to then go back up. Place was just awful. Staff is useless and unhelpful. Don’t stay here, find somewhere else. You’ll save yourself major headaches.

Horrible hotel worst service ever.
The lack of customer service and/or care for the guests was the worst in my 35 years of traveling to New York. This hotel was utterly not to be believed in lack of concern for the guest, the food was horrible, the staff was downright rude and dismissive, and I will never be staying here ever again, as a result. Zero out of 10 rating.

Fabulous quaint hotel
Just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was a little small for 3 adults but as we were only in at bedtime it sufficied, however i would not like to have had a 4th guest with us. The location of the hotel is perfect, close enpugh to the histle and bustle but also far away enough from the lights and noise of times square to get a really good nights sleep. And a subway entrance at the end of the street, so easy to navigate the city. The bar and restaurant open only until 10 which was a shame but otherwise what a fab time we had!
