This room is in a great location near many popular attractions and in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. I recommend the restaurant right by the entrance and the bakery/coffee shop few doors in the opposite direction. They are both run by the same beautiful lady. Her staff is excellent, and they don’t play any tourist tricks on you. The streets outside have a lively atmosphere at night to say the least. Room 502 is fairly quiet despite the noise outside.
A cab is less expensive than the hotel’s shuttle partner and always available. The shuttle service cancelled on us due to our flight being delayed.
We were given room 502. The pictures on Expedia are from 8 years ago. The room is a little rougher than the pictures show. It looks like it is being refreshed little at a time, but it really could use some repairs now. The shower is good with adequate pressure. The bed is a little hard but similar to other hotel beds I have experienced in Europe. The room has working air conditioning.
You will probably never see the owner; however, they communicate well by text. They will send you a couple of videos showing how to get in. It’s not difficult, but if you have ANY problems, just watch the video.
Inside you will find a narrow winding staircase that goes up to the rooms. There is no elevator. The stairs were not a problem for me, but they may be an issue for some. If you are young and healthy, you won’t have a problem, and you will enjoy the location.
