Some basics not there, but overall ok
The bar and dining area look stunning. There was a good vibe when I arrived and all staff without exception were brilliant.
Hatherley Manor is an old building and the floors creak everywhere. Take ear plugs so you are not disturbed as the sounds from above can be very loud as someone walks across their room.
My room looked great on arrival, but there were the remains of a chocolate wrapper on the floor. The bed was 2 twins bolted.together. the matress on one was awful, lopsided and felt like you were being tipped off to one side. The other mattress was good.
The breakfast was quick to arrive but must have been a buffet in the kitchen as it was barely luke warm. V disappointing. The team was also stewed and a very dark colour.
For dinner as a business traveller i was on my own. I had a good table and was sittes comfortably. The menu was quite controlled but i asked about having something from the room service menu which was possible. The evening meal was cooked well.
