Best thing about this hotel: LOCATION! Overall hotel is more like a motel.
Metal doors and odd placed metal windows allow for neighboring lights to shine in your room. Four story split level building, stairs only (normal for GTO), no A/C, loud floor fan, no frills, no shampoo, no conditioner, hand soap but no soap dish, no extra TP, no and I mean no water pressure, no iron in room and no blow drier in room. If iron or blow drier are needed, they will lend you one for 30 min but you have to climb down and up for it. Recommended parking lot is a heck of hike if you walk with suitcases but better than taxi or Uber. Get past all that and the location is as good as any other downtown center hotel.
Staff is hit and miss. The male attendees and handywoman were nice. Staff could make the rest of the motel limitations less of an annoyance if they would retrain the front desk people. I mean give info at the check in and when guests call for info and the frustration goes away…maybe help for 30 seconds. Kindness and consideration goes a long way. And at $500 USD for two nights, this isn’t unrealistic requests and recommendations.
To the owner, simple upgrades like a decent flowing shower head, towel rack, soap dish, quieter fan in lieu of tornado fan, would desperately improve the simplicity of this no frill, no extras, limited staff motel.
