First, the view from atop the 64 steps to our room is very nice. But if you don't like climbing, don't stay here. They warn you about limited parking, so we walked for dinner. The cat that followed us around was the only friendly soul we encountered. Prior to arriving, we were pressed for our arrival time. Hard to say when you are catching ferries and on the road in traffic. We were told that by 6pm, we would be considered a "no show". Never heard that before from any of the hundreds of hotels we've stayed at. They will NOT leave you a key. I gather you only have a couple hours window to check in or else. Upon check-in, we were told that we booked the "cheap" room, which it certainly was. It was small with an outdoor toilet and shower that trickled-and not enough hot water for us. The soap bottle was empty. No cable TV, and the signal was too weak to stream. There was only coffee and a tin of cookies in the morning. We couldn't wait to leave. Altogether, nothing fancy here. We would stay elsewhere next time.
