Hotel itself was fine; lovely room which was very clean and spacious, breakfast well cooked and filling. Only downside was it appeared that the pub car park was used by young people in their cars playing loud music until after midnight. Nobody from the pub onsite through the night so couldn’t speak to anyone. We did speak to staff in the morning, and as pointed out above it really wasn’t the fault of anyone at the pub, but it did put a downer on our stay; we’d had a really long journey and would have liked to have rested up better. These things happen we know and the staff were apologetic and were also concerned it didn’t become a trend, hope it doesn’t for the sake of the pubs business and it’s staff
Lovely clean inn. Lovely food and service
The hotel was well kept and clean, good quality bed and bedding. We did go for the cheapest room, which was nice except for the water pressure in the shower wasn't great and when you used it it flooded the bathroom. But that's the only minor issue, otherwise good. The Owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, homemade bread for toast, good veggie option, and my husband said it was the best breakfast he'd ever had! (He had pancakes and bacon with a side of toast).
Nearly 2 hour delay to check-in. Dusty, cobwebs in bedroom cracked tiles in bathroom. Cups /glasses were not changed during 2 night stay. Poor quality towels / toilet paper. Whilst allowances have to be made during unprecedented COVID times, general standards of cleanliness should be paramount. The main issue we felt were not enough staff to manage demands of popular Gastro pub. Location perfect and despite comments, I would recommend and possibly stay again!
Lovely room, bed very comfortable, amazing shower, lovely friendly polite staff and very good food. Only complaint is lighting in room (2), some ceiling bulbs not working and bedside lights go on and off. Not a major problem and wouldn’t stop us staying again. Lovely place.
Lovely room, decor, etc but room was overly warm. Not easy to open the window as it was a sky light window and it was raining
Great personal service, with a gifted chef who blew us away for the evening meal ans and then made a special breakfast in the morning. Quirky decor that is really well donw. Everything was well thoughf out and immaculately presented.
A clever mixture of modern surroundings with old school memorabilia.
We stayed at the Redan Inn for 1 night in the 'cosy' room. Let me just say it was much more than cosy! The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable and the ensuite was spotless and well done. The TV was a smart TV so we were able to watch netflix in bed. Breakfast was included and tasted delicious! The options were great. We paid for dinner and that was delicious too. The only quibbles would be that the room was freezing when we went in but that was easily fixed by turning the radiator on and we could hear the people in the pub but it was a Friday night and we chose to stay in a pub so we definitely can't complain about that. All in all a very nice stay in a very cosy Inn. We would definitely stay again!
Short weekend break. Very friendly and efficient team. Really excellent food, well above average. Room nice size and comfortable but perhaps a little tired for money.
