Some reviews said having just two restaurants was a negative for this resort, but I never found any trouble with food choices. The main restaurant has theme nights, and we could order from the menu and/or get some buffet choices at dinner time.
Lunch for us was by the pool and could order it through the waiters; it wasnât super-fast, though. That said, there was a plentiful snack basket in the room, and you may ask for refills as often as neededâŠso we could bring some down to the pool, just in case.
We used the Spa once. It was a bit pricey and not as glamorous as other locations weâve visited in Mexico, but the service itself was good.
Didnât use the kidâs club, because a lot of what was scheduled was movies and video games, and the craft and sports activities (one of each daily) were scheduled at times that didnât work for our family âvacation scheduleâ. But the facilities looked clean and kid-friendly.
The night activities were fun, a bit subdued compared to other resorts weâve visited, but we assume itâs party because this wasnât a very busy season. We really enjoyed the magician and the singer at the main restaurant (Andrea).
The pools were great and the beach was clean and well equipped with lounge chairs, tents and such. As with any resort, getting a prime spot with chairs, shade and a table was tricky for late risers, but the staff was really helpful about trying to accommodate everyone. Again, I donât think they were at full capacity, so that helped.
