Horrible stay
AC was leaking water into room and never cooled room. We kept telling maintenance guy but he kept saying he would fix it never did. And then I let him know that the toilet was clogged kept saying I’ll get to it when I get to it. He would never show up, then started giving attitude. Also bed was being held by buckets and I also let him know about that as well and he just kept saying he didnt know what to tell me. He was a very rude maintenance man, I’ve been staying here for over 10 years and this is one of the worst stays I ever had to deal with. The room had a bad smell of urine and feces, room rates from hotels.com are not honored when you check in. I was given a total thru hotels.com and their price was 40.00 dollars more, a lot of other tenants were complaining about same thing too.

Great for the price....but...
For the price, the room was great for a quick stay. I would have given it a 5star but there were some guest who were being rowdy and making alot of noise till 2am and i was surprised management did not ask them to stop after 10pm or so.

Great place to stay for the price. Bed was super comfy but we did go purchase a comforter from dollar general bc the ones they have are pretty old and not great but the sheets were very clean and we slept great. Mary at the front desk was so sweet and gave amazing customer service. The rooms could use a deep clean but overall I would stay here again for the price and hospitality.

Hotel was perfect. Had a wonderful nice day there easy check-in and easy checkout. Only thing was room service did not come.But the place was was fantastic. Would definitely stay there again.

We have stayed here many times in the past. The other times the rooms have been clean. Not this time. Our room looked like it’s not been cleaned in awhile. Our heater did not work well. Our window blew air in. We saw 3 very LARGE roaches. The refrigerator did not work well. The maintenance guy was very friendly and nice.

The room was great for the price. Everything was clean and eye appealing. Plenty of space for 4 people to sleep in room. A/C kept room nice and cold. I didn’t like that I couldn’t get a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning, and the shower drain smelt like rotten eggs, but otherwise a great place to stay

Do not give these money ur money!!!
Checked in, reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. Noticed A.C. in one room was not working properly, had it checked by staff 5 times with no relief. Spent first night in room with broken a.c. . When back to office on second morning to see what can be done, only to be told that they were booked up, had no more rooms.. Then tone changed talking to Kim. She didn't care what i had to say, and how upset i was, told me that i could put everyone in one room, each room has 1 bed. And foldout couch . . Or i could take a fan for room with no a.c. Finally i asked for refund on room we are not using so we could find another room somewhere else. So kim gave me a 2 night refund After my credit card went thru for rooms, then kim went in a canceled refund without telling me why or communicating in any way... These people are giving Port A a bad name They do not care if customers are happy, them seem like at check-in, but if you have an issue... they become vicious... If you are allergic to mold do not stay here, showers are full of mold . Pass this place up.. spend ur money elsewhere.. Never will i stay here again and will tell everyone i know not to either.

The layout of the property is wonderful. Very easy parking and a super nice green open space in the middle. Along with a very enjoyable pool and jacuzzi. Well maintained property, near a bird sanctuary, also. Many birds flying overhead. It adds to the ambiance The room space is a little cramped, but in good shape. And a superb air conditioning unit, which is well appreciated. The staff is friendly and responsive.

Stayed here before
Ive stayed here before with family but that that was about 10 years ago and nothing has changed for the better here. If you are looking for just a stay and not expecting much then this is your place. Our TV was not working and when maintenance came they could not get it working so we got upgraded to another room. The staff is friendly and will make sure you have what you need and they gave us plenty of towels. Location is convient to places in the area that i usually visit so that was a plus for me

An older, family-owned property that's been fixed up. Small, tight bathroom but clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. TV had lots of channels including nearly all the sports channels (ESPN family, SEC, ACC, etc.) A good value.

Always a wonderful time staying here. This is our go to spot every trip. The staff is so kind and polite. We never have any problems. You can lounge right outside your door and meet your neighbors. They got a park for kids with grills outside too. 10/10 recommend.

The location was perfect to shopping, fishing, and the beach. The center of the property was lush with thick green carpet grass that included several picnic areas with bbq pits. It also has a playground, swings, horseshoes, pool and jacuzzi. Also there are rustic double chairs with a table which provides a little seating area right outside of your room. Our stay was perfect our family rented a few rooms and it was nice to gather in park area as we called it. Loved it and we have already booked another stay.

I really loved the pool and the place looks great. But the only complaint I have. Is I have a bad back and the beds are horribly stiff. You need softer beds. I know they make them because we stay at lots of hotels. It was hard to sleep and back was killing me in morning.

Everyone here was so lovely. They are family owned and run, but it doesn’t feel like a camera is on you 24/7. Check in was nice and easy and even let us come a few hours early since a room was ready for us. Will be back!!

We just love this place. Its our 3rd time to stay here. Clean,friendly staff and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Pool is amazing as always! Location is great close to everything you can walk or head right across the street and rent a golf cart. We only booked for 1 night but as we were checking in,we booked another night.

Stayed 2 nights for a weekend getaway. Paid for 2 nights upfront plus additional deposit. Options were $100 cash or $125 for Credit card deposit. Parking is limited, tight and difficult to pull out of if trailers are left unhooked. AC was cold but we were told not to adjust the AC or it may freeze and not work again. Room was ok but the pull-out couch looked dingy. Biggest disappointment was the cockroaches, spiders and insects we had. After check-in I looked up previous reviews and saw multiple complaints of the cockroaches. Owner replies they are family owned, do not have a roach problem but they have pest control come in once a month. I recommend pest control comes twice a month. My husband found 2 dead roaches in the bathroom when we arrived. After that it was a spider in the corner of the shower, water bugs and other pests from the shower drain or under the sink. I killed at least 5 different, LARGE roaches and we had to always wear shoes and leave the bathroom light on so we didn't step on bugs in the middle of the night. I had asked housekeeping if they had any bug spray I could use and was told "they weren't allowed to have any" and I could drive up the street to CVS to buy some. I carry my own travel bedding/pest spray and used half the bottle trying to protect our personal items and bed area. I didn't want to complain to mgmt because I didn't want a false claim of room damages and lose deposit. For the price, I'll book a chain hotel next time I travel to Port A.
