Went to this hotel, asked at the front-desk if I can get a Fuji-view room. I paid a bit extra on the booked price and got that room.
When I returned after diner I went to bed but could not sleep because of vibrations. I called the reception guy to come and check. He witnessed the vibration. In a nutshell: He could not solve the problem because it was caused by a box, which was in a wall of the room. This box supports other rooms‘ airconditions. So it was a long-lasting construction issue, which did not occur suddenly.
I got another room.
Next morning I asked the manager, Hiroshi Kubota, why he/ his staff sold this room to me if it was obvious that it has a constant problem. He only said he was sorry. I told him that I got the feeling that they sold this room to a „Gaijin“ because he might not complain. He replied with embarrassed silence and all tried to tell me how sorry they were. But I got no explanation, only my money back.
They knew that I was right and they were wrong to have sold this unacceptable room to a foreigner. A guest from another country. Who they tried to fool, but who did not keep quiet and did not accepted to get fooled. Fact is, it was an attempted fraud and I was seconds away to call the police!
If you still want to throw money to that hotel, do NOT accept room 1621 in floor 6!!!
