Don’t Judge a Book by its cover
Our stay did not start off well. I feel we were treated differently from the other guests coming in. I feel because we used affirm we were treated like we were not worthy of the same quick efficient and courteous response of the agent checking in. We were made to sit and wait while they “ checked “ our room. People who came in after us and who didn’t have a reservation were sent right to their rooms. Then I did not know I needed an extra credit card to “ put on file” in case “ something “ happened to the room. So I only had my debit card on me. My husband who I bought the trip for as a gift had to use his card. And they took my debit card and put it in the card machine twice… it felt suspicious. Then I had to sign paper work saying who I was, my address and phone number, initial all the rules, no one else checking in had to do that. I really felt we were singled out because we booked through hotels.com and used affirm to pay for it we were singled out. We work hard for our money and we pay our bills and we deserve the same treatment as other guests. This was a gift for my husband for our wedding anniversary and that desk agent made us feel uncomfortable. If the room wasn’t as beautiful as it was I would have left and demanded a refund.
