I do not recommend staying in this hotel. We have booked for 7 nights and have left the hotel after only 1 night. No idea why it has 4 stars on the entrance door. And unfortunately the hotel has ripped me off after we have left the hotel.
Dirty furniture and blinds, dirty carpet all over the hallway, grey linens (supposed to be white) no atmosphere whatsoever and no free internet. The only highlight was the really friendly staff!
Their cancellation procedure: a rip off! Since we were leaving after one night, the hotel granted us a credit of 5 nights and wanted to charge only for 2 - which was a fair deal and absolutely ok (I had paid in advance). Within minutes after check out I had informed Expedia to start the reimbursement process and have provided names and details.
After being back in Europe I have heard via Expedia that the Tanoa charged me for 4 nights as they only were able to start their process 2 days after we had left. Expedia checked back as the delay in this process was by no means mine or Expedia's fault so why should I pay for another 2 nights? The answer was that the Tanoa insists on this situation and charged for 4 nights.
Sorry, but this is a rip off! Your reservation desk has confirmed to me in person that you are charging me only for 2 nights.
Now, that we have left the island and we are back in far away Europe, you are shaving another 2 nights off me.
I am deeply disappointed!
