There was water damage on the ceiling directly above the toilet, which was assumed to be from the toilet in the bathroom directly above ours. We also had difficulty using the TV remote immediately upon check-in. When we inquired about how to use the TV, the receptionist was quick to provide assistance. However, once the remote was re-paired to the TV, we asked what would cause the remote to unpair (to make sure we would not unpair the remote unknowingly). The woman from the front desk seemed to take offense to this question and responded with, "It's not your place to know." This entire encounter, shortly after checking in, was very strange and off-putting.
