We only stayed in Villa La Estancia one night. We should have stayed the whole trip. I made a mistake and accidentally booked my original hotel reservation one night too short and only realized this once we had landed in Mexico. I booked our last night at La Estancia and immediately realized we should have stayed there the entire trip. The property is spectacular. The location and views are world class. The apartments are tastefully appointed as well. When I booked, I didn't realize that the property is an ownership/hotel hybrid. I'd probably prefer an actual hotel if I'm being picky, but La Estancia is top notch. We will definitely consider the property again.
great resort in general but they really do not have access to beach and no private beach at all
A must stay.. So relaxing and very accommodating.. Wonderful staff and beautiful grounds. Amazing food onsite and the pool was so refreshing..
This is an absolutely beautiful property with immaculate attention to detail. We were treated like royalty. Our family of 5 was celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, as well as our two teen boys’ birthdays. The staff went all out - giving us upgrades, decorating our rooms, and treating us with such warmth. It was definitely quiet, due to the Covid situation. However, the resort next-door was enjoyable for the restaurants, but we enjoyed the quiet of Villa La Estancia so much more. It was extremely clean, and we felt very safe. It also has a swimmable beach, which can be pretty rare in the Cabo area. We went out surfing at Zippers beach, and my son was stung by a jellyfish, causing an allergic reaction and an ER visit. After that, we just stayed closer to the resort, enjoying the amenities, including the clean pool and hot tubs, as well as the beachfront property. Isabel and Lupita were wonderful concierge. All of the stuff are so hard-working, welcoming, and very accommodating. It was a beautiful stay, even traveling during this unknown time. We had no qualms whatsoever staying there, and would love to go back again.
The location, the staff, the service, the attention to details - it was all amazing!
IT WAS ANOTHER GREAT STAY AT LA ESTANCIA . THIS PLACE IS TRULY FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY. THE VILLAS N GROUNDS ARE IN SUPERB SHAPE. THE SERVICE FROM THE POOL TO ALL THE RESTAURANTS ARE EXCELLENT . I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK
Our family went to dinner at the restaurant there on Friday evening. There were 6 of us. Our total bill in US dollars was $2000.00!! We sat down and didn't even look at the wine menu because the servers walked out with a bottle of Caymus wine, and asked if we liked it. We said yes, we know the wine well We're from California. They brought another..they NEVER told us they were charging $350.00 US dollars each for that wine. They charged us for 4 bottles!! My husband had to send his steak back, it was terrible. We would never in a million years pay $350.00 for a bottle of wine, not even at the most expensive restaurant on the planet. They took advantage of our family, and all they said was "You signed for it" what were we supposed to do? Not sign for it? How about be honest, and let your guests know what they are paying for. We went from having a great time, to our trip pretty much ruined. Thanks Estancia!! There are plenty of nice places to stay in Cabo, and our next trip , if we ever go, will not be at the Villa La Estancia. I hope they're happy with having 6 unhappy people!
Wonderful
Every room had a lovely view, even if it was only facing into the garden/pool area, but most I would say saw at least a bit of the ocean. Staff were amazing, place is kept immaculate. Nice not to have the noisy music at the pool area. Pool was nice and warm and it was lovely to have a choice of 5 hot tubes to use in the evening when it was a little cool. Great location, can go into the ocean out front of resort, very clean beach area, also long beach to walk along and just 10 minute walk to some fun restaurant/bars and also inexpensive massages. Also the concierge was a great help booking us restaurants outside of the resort.
Great hotel, wonderful staff, great location- right on the beach. I would go back but there are 3 things they need to have a think about upgrading/improving 1) There is no open bar / cafe area when you can walk up and get a coffee - (note I was on the all-inclusive package and found it annoying that I had to go into a restaurant and order a to-go cup all the time - they should just have a walk-up bar area. There is one in the pools where you can order a big variety of stuff - but you have to get into the pool to use it. Sometimes I just want a coffee or an apple juice for the kids and shouldn't have to walk into a restaurant to get it (small thing and truly a nit - but was annoying). 2) The kids food options were limited - no specific menu. I was travelling with a 2, 4, and 5 year old and apart from breakfast, there was a limited amount of things to order. Adding a kids menu would go a long way. 3) There are lots of good restaurants in complex which is made up of 3 large hotels but you can't order to go - you have to pretend to eat half it and get a box to go. You do have room service but its a limited menu. There were lots of times we wanted to eat something nice but not being able to order meals to go meant we either had to get room service(smaller menu) or one of us would have to go the restaurant and then ask for the bill and a to-go box and bring it back to the room. (Impossible to drag 3 kids to a restuarant without them annoying all the other customers.
