8/10 â Sehr gut

Let's start with the pro's - walk out of your room, down a few steps and you're on the beach! Our room was clean and odor-free, as were the towels and bedding.
The bathroom was simple but functional. A small coffee station was equipped with a Keurig coffee machine, a small microwave and a mini-fridge. Replacement coffee pods, waters and other necessities were freely available from the lobby.
Off-street parking was available under the building, with the cost added to the bill at check-in. Don't underestimate this - the city parking ambassadors (as they are called) are very active in the streets outside!
A complementary continental style breakfast is served daily in the lobby, which we enjoyed on the tables overlooking the beach.
On the con's - be aware that only six of the rooms have full sea views and semi-private balconies, and these rooms have a premium price tag. All the other rooms have no sea view, or 'partial' sea views.
We found our room to be a bit sparse - there was nowhere to sit apart from the bed (but then, you're there to sit on the beach, not in your room...). A simple piece of artwork on the wall would have given the room some character. Tiled floors seemed a bit austere and cold at first, but after we had dropped sandy clothes on the floor, we realized that carpets or mats would have been a big mistake!
All in all, five minutes on the beach and a dip in the sea water, and one tends to overlook the minor imperfections of the stay!
