I booked this hotel through Expedia one week before my planned stay, and was asked to pay in advance. However, when I arrived at the hotel around 8pm for ckecking-in, the receptionist said me, the hotel was being evacuated because of lack of water.
I stayed there waiting for them to find another hotel for me for around one hour, until I decided to look after alternatives by myself. In the first call to a neighbour hotel, I found a place to stay.
I asked them in the hotel since when they knew about the lack of water, and they told me since 2 pm in the same day. BUT, they did not call me, did not send any message, any email, did not communicate to expedia, and worse, did not prepare any other alternative in advance for the people that were waiting for their rooms in that day.
And to my doubt, when I visited the toilet in the hotel, water there as flowing normally and I could not see any concrete sign that water was missing. In the end, I do believe everything was just a theather and in fact they were possibly overbooked.
Simply unacceptable...
