No heat, faulty appliance, slow support...
The apartment looked very nice at first. 2 floors, with 2 bedrooms with a king size bed. That was until we found a lot of issues with it. We stayed in this apartment for 3 days beginning of January.
- the heater was not working. We were in the middle of the winter and the temperature outside was freezing. The apartment was very cold. We called the support number but they could not give us any immediate assistance. The day before our departure, a technician sent us a text message advising us to flip the circuit breaker of the furnace to reset it. That did the trick but it was too late for us as we were leaving the following day. It seemed that they knew about this issue.
- The entrance door keypad was broken. We found ourselves stranded outside the apartment one evening. Luckily the support center was able to remotely unlock the door. They told us to use the fob they had left inside. This was obviously a known issue that they failed to tell us in the checkin instructions.
- the dishwasher had a big leak and was not usable.
- the shade in one of the bedroom is broken forcing us to wake up very early in the morning
- the kitchen is very small. No counter top to prepare food.
The problem with Sonder's properties is that they are remotely managed. There is nobody on site to give immediate assistance.
At this point, I will ask to be reimburse for our stay in this unit.
