Lovely staff . Low score because our bedroom was near the lift and I was woken 3 times in the night with noise from other guests saying good night or goodbye or the lift clunking. We were attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and visiting the V&A. This hotel was the perfect location. We had an exec room (205) and it was excellent. Nice view of the pedestrian area outside the station, floor 2 high enough away from any street noise, although there wasnt any. Staff were really helpful and polite. All the areas we entered were up to date decor - English townhouse style. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of it, well cooked eggs, fresh fruit salad, the servers were charming and efficient. Bed - many hotels have gone to rock hard beds - particularly on the continent. The bed here was just right for us - a medium firm mattress with a cloudy mattress topper. I'd stay again.
