This "hotel" is not the regular type where you get personalized customer service and greeting personnel at the lobby. This Sonder hotel was strictly by Sonder App communication. We had an issue with our TV that was not connecting to the "Chromecast" app, which is the only method of streaming from your phone/tablet to the TV. It took them almost 2 days to get someone to our unit to "fix" this, but he could not either so by the end of the stay we finally had regular TV channels. Your check-in and check-out are also with the App, charging extra for early/late check-in/check-out.
Overall, the place is nice, very modern and has ample rooms with a kitchen and full-size appliances. The living room couch has a sofa bed, and this specific location is at the heart of Tempe Downton and ASU activities, lots of restaurants, bars and shops just within walking distance. The rooms are in tall tower apartments, with Whole Foods store below for all your wines, beers, snacks, and other essentials.
If you don’t get bothered to this type of hotel where there is no personal approach and you are willing to deal with the app to read all instructions to park, security, check-in, check-out this is a place for you. For us it was not a pleasant experience and for the price of the rooms they could do much better than what we got.
