I love heritage and its history but there are some things which I am not ready to accept....the molds on the walls in the shower, thus, the faint smell in the bathroom. Though renovated, the shower head attached to the wall fall apart. Also there seems to be a leak somewhere around the sink as spills of water suddenly appear after using it. The TV reception or the quality of the sound and images is not clear as if the TV model is in the 60’s though flat screen. The room is clean but not sparkling clean. Service is excellent but not in all areas. The breakfast buffet is good but hot items are not really that hot, just mildly warm. An emphasis on more trainings for the F&B staff to improve their service from good to best should be looked into. Service in the concierge and reception is excellent. The Night Manager was quick and knows how to react to guest complaints. The lobby is beautiful but always crowded like a marketplace when I was there. At 6PM, there’s a piano and:or violin ensemble that provides soothing music but due to the noise of guests checking in and out and the people going in and out of the hotel, rhe soothing ambiance is disrupted. Oversll rating on prices (room and f&b) : pricey!
