The hotel has excellent connection to the city via bus, and to the Milano-Roma highway. Nearby many shops and great Italian "bar" for breakfast. The gas station in front of it is extremely handy before travel and there is plenty of free parking.
Ask for a room at the back when booking, as the front of the hotel, although quite moved back from the main road, could be more noisy.
The structure is old, but the main things are there and the personnel is nice, friendly and attentive.
Unfortunately, although a 4-star hotel, and generally clean, it loses itself into small but important details - namely:
- we found a couple of hairs in the towels of the shower (likely inadvertent "left" by the cleaning lady - nothing major, still...)
- the door of the bathroom showed heavy signs of water infiltration (deformed wood and ruined paint) - in sore need of a repair, and gives a sense of old and dirty to an otherwise perfectly ok bathroom
- the hairdryer filter is full of years of dust
- wifi works well, when it works (in 5 days, 3-4 times it just wouldn't work at all)
- one could see dark mold in the excess water drain of the bathroom sink via the mirror - very easy to spot, not a nice view
- in the room there was no book with the usual hotel services information.
It is all a set of minor things that disturb, but combined with the low price (for the season), will let you pardon them. And there is no alternative in the area at the same price and excellent logistics.
