Unfortunately we got a room on a smokers' floor which was not labeled as such during booking. Everything else was very good. The room was clean, all devices fully functional, every room had free Wi-Fi and LAN access. We had booked a room with breakfast included and we enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet very much (it was a mixture of Japanese and Western style foods).
There's a computer in the hotel lobby where Internet can be accessed and print-outs can be made for a small charge. This computer can be used by the hotel guests as well as people who don't have a room booked in this hotel. This was very, very helpful for us when we missed our train to Tokyo and needed to find either a room for another night (the Garden Palace had not avilable rooms) or another connection back to Tokyo.
Being close to the station Shin-Osaka, with a lobby and reception opened 24/7 and offering a free bus shuttle service to and from the station, this hotel made it on our list for emergencies, when we either need a room or just Internet access.
We noticed that the hotel itself specializes in hosting wedding parties. Many of the lower floors have rooms and halls dedicated to specific aspects and needs of weddings parties, like a Wedding Hall, Banquet Hall, chapel etc.
