First I want to say the staff is nice and the beds themselves are comfortable. And although I say the staff is nice, I don’t feel like they are accommodating as they could be. We booked our hotel almost 2 weeks before arrival and when I showed up they had to give me a king suite instead of the double beds that I reserved. They called it a complimentary upgrade but we didn’t want a king bed for a reason. They had said that they were out of doubles and I just don’t understand how that happens if I reserved my room in advance. Second, the smell of the hotel is horrible. This hotel is not your typical Marriott brand hotel. The standard of this specific hotel is low. Only one elevator works, there is water damage, carpets are sticky and very old/outdated, the rooms smell like pee/popcorn, the floors in our room were weak and you could feel it soft in some spots, note that we were also on the 4th floor. The tub still had hair from whoever was there before us or the housekeeper. The toilet paper is super rough so I would suggest bring your own. There was barely any body wash in the bottle provided so that shows that housekeeping isn’t keeping up with that stuff. The chair in our room was disgusting, picture is attached. The lights also had dead bugs in them. Last thing to add is the landscaping outside is horrible, the grass is tall and filled with stickers. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere, there are nicer hotels about 10 mins away from this one such as Staybridge Suites.
