This property has been opened recently. It’s very nice. It had a 12:00 check out time, which I really appreciated. It was in a safe area with easy access to I-40, downtown, Tri-State fairgrounds, the airport, or anywhere (helps that Amarillo is small). You need your room key to access the elevator from the ground floor, so the additional security was nice. In the lobby, they had cookies available in the afternoon along with a coffee and hot chocolate station.

My wife and I chose this Hotel because it was new and had good ratings and showed as pet friendly. We travel with a small dog (10lbs)and she is extremely well house trained. We booked through an online service, marked the application as having a pet. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed there would be an additional $57 pet fee. We were not thrilled to hear this, since it appeared we had paid All fees upfront and in full via the online service. When I objected to the $57 fee and explained to the desk clerk, she told us there was nothing she could do. We opted to pay the fee to allow us to get to our room and save time looking for another hotel. Everything else was fairly good, but there were minor things like no body wash or conditioner in the hotel provided shower dispenser. The room and bathroom doors were very hard to open and close fully. (We nearly left the room with the door only partially seated in the frame and NOT secure.) Suggest the executive staff do a more thorough quality control process. P.S. There was no pet area we could locate and no one present at the front desk to inquire as to if and where the pet area was located. No grass of any kind - we had to go over to the hotel next door to find grass. If I’m going to be charged an additional pet fee of $57 there should be a viable pet area. The hotel was new and nice, but we were not impressed with the staff, service, or the simple items that make it worthwhile to stay somewhere.

There is nothing I can say badly about this place! Amazingly comfortable bed in a very clean and inviting g atmosphere. Staff was very sweet. Breakfast was great as well.
