The staff is helpful and the room is comfortable. They have a luggage room if you arrive early or leave late. They provide a travel card for public transportation and it is one metro ride to most of the tourist attractions. I simply loved my stay at the Hotel Fuerst Bismarck.It is very reasonably priced and the staff is very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was an additional 19 Euro per person but absolutely worth it. The hotel is located across from Hamburg Main Station in a safe and centrally located area. The Alster is only a short walk away as well as the fun district of St. Georg with lots of little bars, bistros and restaurants. If you want to visit Museum Ballinstadt - which you should! - you can get there easily from the Main Station by S-Bahn in 20 minutes.

This is a great location in the city because is near the train station (Hbf) where the S- & U-bahn, buses and taxis are plentiful. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and nonsmoking. It is an older building and has an elevator, but there are often steps to negotiate on each floor.
