The hotel design is beautiful. The room was cosy, but the bed was very large and confortable. The bathroom was very large (too large, would have prefered slightly more space in the bedroom).
One huge downside is the parking. There arent enough parking spaces at the hotel itself. Furthermore, the spaces are so small it is sometimes impossible to fit two larger sized cars next to eachother. The hotel does have a solution to this : a parking lot with a special daily rate about 5min walk away. Unfortunately here cars can't be higher than 1m70...
Many people visit scotland roadtrip style with large cars, 7 seaters or vans... so in my opinion the solution needs to be reworked.
If I were the manager of the hotel, I would have a parking space reservation system which takes into account the size of the vehicles...which for some reason they dont want...
The hotel is transparent about their parking problems on their own website... it is just not something one thinks about looking at when booking on hotel.com...
Cleanliness could also have been better. The hotel has a system where you opt in for room cleaning when you desire a room refresh...when we did it, only our bin was emptied...the bed wasnt remade etc.
During our 3 day stay there were also random cutlery laying on the corridor floor next to our neighbours room which was strange...
The restaurant has amazing food, but again here bith for breakfast and dinner, the staff didnt take time to clean up the tables quickly...
