This was an excellent hotel, I think we got very good value for what we paid - we got a pretty good deal. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the City so very walkable. She’s a little tired and in need of renovation, but the staff and service are exceptional. My opinion went from “good” to “great” when I inadvertently left a fair amount of money in the in-room safe when I checked out, and not only did the money not “disappear”. It they actively tracked me down to return it to me. Not many hotels have that culture of integrity and customer service, which more than makes up for the paint being chipped. I’ll never stay in another hotel in HCMC - the Rex is my home in VN going forward
