Excellent location, right next to train station, and bus terminal, leisurely walk to city center’s attractions and interests, excellent breakfast and have guest luggage storage for free. I would stay here again and would recommend to friends and families.

My only grip is, the porridge at breakfast was only luke warm and very thick, the beans were also luke warm, i didn't eat any other hot food at breakfast, therefore i don't know if all the hot food wasn't very hot.

+ friendly staff + great breakfast (lot of options, eg. ice coffee with oat milk), delicious porridge + nice hallways + surprisingly quiet - we had made online check-in but still had to queue to get the room key - the bathroom had a light on at all times - not that convenient during the night

The hotel is centrally located in the historic section of Helsinki. It's adjacent to the train station and the hub for busses and trolleys. It is easy walking distance to the major museums, galleries and the harbor marketplace. It is also close to major shopping centers and high end stores. There are many restaurant options nearby.

Classic yet casual hotel

We loved this grand old hotel in a perfect location adjacent to the train station and near to most of Helsinki's destinations. The beautiful common areas feel like you just walked into a 1930s movie set, but the atmosphere is casual. The staff are excellent and helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and includes local specialties. Our room was large and very comfortable, although it didn't have much drawer space for unpacking. The shower/tub works well but is oddly designed without a curtain, so it tends to leave water on the floor, which has a large drain. Of course, there are men's and women's saunas in the basement, and a small gym.

Great stay except for AC

All good, great staff, however one major downside was that the AC cannot be turned off and I was cold throughout the night. Because of this, I’ll likely not stay here again. Also, no safety deposit box in the room which you’d expect a hotel of this level to have (they didn’t advertise it to have one, but still).

Horrible stay and horrible hotel in all my travels

Only good thing to say is that it is in a great location. Let’s start: There’s no one to help you with your luggage at The entrance you have to climb 14 steps. They dad there’s a ramp. Good luck finding it and opening the door. There’s no phone in the room. I had a health emergency and I had to walk all the way out in pouring rain to find a taxi. Housekeeping is horrible. They left one bath towel when there are two people staying. And of course no phone to call front desk to get an extra towel. Check out: Nobody asked how the stay was. Bill was wrong. They didn’t bill me for breakfast. Never staying in this hotel again.
