Basic accommodation in quiet location just off the border from Basel/Switzerland in Weil am Rhen. Friendly staff and easy self check in upon arrival. Coffee machine in reception, comfortable bed. Not too much around the hotel.

The property appears a little dated but that may be its attraction for some. My room was on the top (second) floor but there is no lift and that’s awkward with luggage. Breakfast finished too early for me to take advantage of it. The en suite shower room was a very good, spacious room. The bed was adequate but not luxurious. I thought I’d booked a hotel in Switzerland but it turned out to be in Germany! Check out the border positions before you book.😁

Comfortable, clean and conveniently located.

We were greeted warmly and were quickly in our room. Everything was perfect. The room was quiet and very clean. The space was organized perfectly for two peoplle. Good storage. Comfortable beds. Windows could be open securely, and the fan provided kept us comfortable. We didn’t try the breakfast at the hotel, but it was affordable. Try the Oscar Baklava restaurant (cash only) nearby for fantastic Turkish food — we ate a very good and unique breakfast there. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Victoria — conveniently located a block from the Hauptstrasse and the tram.

Awful experience. Would not recommend. No-one was at the property to let us in. No clear instructions when booking as to what to do if no-one there to check you in. Sign on door was in German so could not understand? Area didn't appear to be particularly safe either. Ended up staying at another property, a short drive away in Basel. Best decision for us.

Haziran2026 ilk haftası 5 gece konakladım. Pazar günü dış kapı önündeki otomattan check-in yaptım. Anahtarı cihaz verdi. Kahvaltı kullanmadım. Zemin katta resepsiyonun hemen yanında tek kişilik odada kaldım. Personel ütü ve ütü masası temin etti. Ancak otel Almanya bölgesinde olduğu için BaselCard vermediler. Kaldığım oda (belki de tüm odalar) yenilenmiş. Çok temiz ve yeniydi. Sanki ilk müşteri bendim. Sanırım duvarlara ses yalıtımı yapılmıştı. Üst kattan fazla gürültü duymadım. Ama özellikle pazartesi ve diğer bazı günlerde, sabah erken saatte resepsiyon önündeki müşterilerin yüksek sesli konuşmaları ve kahve otomatı rahatsız etti. Onun dışında memnun kaldım. Yakındaki AVM ve çevre restoranlara yürümek kolaydı.

Heureusement qu’à notre arrivée, une dame était présente, car nous ne savions pas qu‘il n‘y avait pas de „desk“ de réception, ni de personnel présent et nous aurions eu de la peine à récupérer la clé de notre chambre sans son aide ( nous sommes âgés) Mais tout fonctionne très bien quand même, Les chambres sont spacieuses, lumineuses, propres et calmes. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est bien fourni aussi.
