Urban Leisure Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent (119) with king size bed and plenty of room. The bathroom was newly decorated and the shower very good.
The room, corridors and reception area were clean and tidy.
The only negative is that there is no food on site and the leisure facilities are no longer open and will probably never re-open.
Food and drink can be found nearby at The Farrier attached to the Premier Inn which was nearly double the price for a nights stay. People who we were meeting stayed there and were disappointed as it was noisy. In contrast, we found The Urban was very quiet.
In summary, I would recommend people to stay here whether they are on a business or leisure trip."
"We used the Hotel as a base for visiting Burghley Horse Trials and it was just ideal. Room was spotless and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly. It was the perfect setting to wind down after a long day with a lovely cup of coffee. The staff kindly started the fabulous breakfast earlier than usual to allow everyone to get on the road. Car Park is quite limited on spaces but able to park on lane which always had spaces. "
