First off, the check-in process was completely mangled because of my late check-in. I arrived after 10pm on the day of my check-in with some colleagues also staying at the hotel, and there was no one at reception to let us in as all the doors were locked. One of my colleagues was able to somehow get into the lobby (someone let him in I guess), and then we were able to get our keys from a lock box inside. Unfortunately, there seemed to have been a mixup with the rooms, and during my entire stay, Harvey's system had the rooms for me and one of my colleagues swapped. This mattered because I pre-paid my room and he did not. At the time of check-out, they insisted I hadn't paid for my room and I didn't have proof of my pre-payment at the moment, so I went ahead and paid again, thinking I could easily resolve it later. A week after I left and after calling the property and speaking to people twice, and also after sending multiple emails with proof of double-payment, no managers from the property have responded. I've been forced into disputing the second charge through my credit card company.
Second, though this wouldn't have been a dealbreaker if all else worked out ok, but the hotel hallway on the first floor has a TERRIBLE smell. They have some automated scent machine on one of the walls, but I think it only makes the smell worse.
