There is plenty of parking space, and it's easy to find the Lodge. All the expected room facilities are present: good decor, bed, towels and bathroom;, a warm and comfortable space. I couldn't dock a star, especially at the price we paid.
Of course, there are things that could be improved! The kettle boiled just enough for the two very small mugs; our (own) teapot took 2 boilings to fill. It would be nice to have more than the bare minimum of cutlery so as not to have to wash forks after dinner in order to eat cheesecake for dessert - and neither breadknife nor scissors are provided, which poses challenges for microwave meals (and a toaster and even just one hob and a pan would be helpful). And the internal soundproofing is very poor - adjacent extractor fans, and passing motorbikes, didn't improve sleep. Thanks for the earplugs, but not everyone sleeps well with those.
But as I sad, it's definitely a 5-star place.
