Typically when we come to Penticton we stay at a different Marriott property/ the Fairfield. It was too pricey for this trip so we opted to stay here instead.
The hotel was fine. It was great, it wasnât terrible.
Just fine.
Lots of parking. Spacious rooms, clean hotel, restaurant in hotel, reasonably quiet location, price was ok.
To me, staying in a better hotel is all about the creature comforts.
Not really any of that here.
Some things I didnât like which would make me not stay in the future.
1. No breakfast. Nothing. Given the fact that there is a restaurant in the hotel, I guess theyâre wanting you to spend your own money on breakfast. Iâve stayed in other hotels that themselves didnât cook at breakfast, but in the restaurant you were served breakfast that came with the room. Not the case here.
2. They put coffee out in the morning. When we would stay at the Fairfield, that coffee would be out all day. Here, itâs out for a couple of hours in the morning and then they pull it. So if you wandered into the hotel, checking in at 2 oâclock, and wanted to grab a coffee, forget, forget it.
3. They use some horrible spray to scent the air as you walk in through the front door.
Hits you like a huge slap in the face. Itâs like youâre swimming in aqua Velva
Honestly, it was really nauseating to me every time I walked in and out of that hotel.
Same thing with the soaps that they provide in your room. Itâs not a bar of soap, they use these liquid soap, products that
