Incredibly convenient location just a short walk from Penn Station. It’s in a very busy area so there is street noise at night but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. Overall a great deal for the location and a great middle ground option between hotels and hostels.

I want to warn future guests that this place, advertised as Chelsea rooms, is not a hotel. It is a small building, located next door to a 7-Eleven, in an unsafe area with many drug users on the sidewalk right in front of their allways locked sidewalk door, specialy early morning and after 6 pm. The deluxe room they advertise was tiny (around 8 square meters), not luxury, and the bathroom (one square meter) and separate shower (another small 2 sm room) were both shared, which was never disclosed in the misleading add. The check-in was advertised at 9 a.m., but when I arrived at 7:30 am to leave my bags no one was there. I came back at 9:00 am and I was told check in was at 3 p.m., and the supposed 24-hour front desk service never existed as advertise. They argued they were new on Expedia, which is why the listing was incorrect, but they refused to take responsibility. Despite promises that they would give me a credit next day, they did not, but once I checked out they condicion my credit to a good review and I said that was unethical and I asked to honor their promise to partial refund; they said they could not go lower and they never issued any credit despite paying 351.00 usd for two nigts without any place to rest or even have peace of mind. The noise was unbearable; they even provide earplugs and they are next to the bed, admitting themselves that the street noise was intolerable. In short, this was a complete deception. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs.
