All areas seemed brand new or very recently & very tastefully refurbished. The apartment was better than expected & completely private from the lower apartment, due to separate entrances, a screen on entry and the perfect height wall on the upper terrace; very nicely done.
Also, the host sent multiple messages near arrival & helpful links for the nearby amenities.
They asked twice in our 5 night stay if we'd like cleaning and were generally very [distantly] attentive. A perfect host (Verolucy).
The apartment had all we needed; the fridge held a couple of generous surprises and the good quality towels were in abundance.
The hot tub served us well; as heated in the evening (Nov, 18 degrees) and to cool us during the day (25 degrees).
Parking is outside the city wall but only a short walk away, which wasn't an issue at all.
Be sure to take any recommendations as we were 'robbed' at a nearby restaurant (Kolona) for 20Euro drinks (large but watered) & poor quality meat, with a demand for cash on presentation of the bill. Wish I'd read the reviews beforehand! In fact other locals weren't surprised to find we had a poor experience in the old town 'it's for walking only', they told us - don't eat there!!
If driving & in the SW of the island head for Manolis at Apolaki - best food & value we had all week.
