A glorious oasis in a vibrant neighbourhood
From our initial arrival to our departure seven days later, this was an exceptional experience, with Marcus and the team doing everything above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a good one. The ambience of the place, chilled and informal, and the comfort of the room could not be faulted. Great breakfast made to order every day, with fresh fruit, juices, and eggs, got our days off to a flying start, and the location - right in the centre of Cartagena’s historic, vibrant Getsemaní district - gave us easy access to everything that was worth exploring. Whether we needed directions to where to eat and what to see, or just wanted to relax with a book on the patio - or better still, soak in the rooftop pool - there was always friendly advice available, and even a cup of coffee to make our downtime even better. Like a quiet oasis in the lively surrounding neighbourhood, and with a boisterous tortoise thrown in for good measure, this has been one of the best accommodations on our South American adventure, and we’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay! Our room was super cute and comfortable with a comfy bed and pillows and efficient and quiet A/C. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfasts were wonderful incl. (fresh homemade croissants, yummy fresh fruit and tropical juice) The location is also great - in a very charming neighborhood easy walking distance to everything. We’d definitely stay here again.

A gem of a hotel
I really love this hotel. The style is very cool with trees and plants beautifully woven into and throughout the hotel. It is a small and unique hotel in a great part of Getsemani Cartagena. The tightly woven staircase to the view from above is really neat. The service was also excellent especially the hosts Jean and Francois... both super cool. The breakfasts with eggs to your liking...fresh fruits and fruit juices....breads and croissants of quality and good coffee. My room was also very clean and comfortable. My favorite place on my 3 week trip throughout Colombia.

Nice little boutique hotel, family run and with great service. Great breakfast and the hosts cater for all your needs. Location is perfect right in the walled city. A beautiful oasis in the centre of Getsamani
I loved my week long stay here. The property is a true oasis in the vibrant area of Getsamani. Lots of greenery, outdoor seating, a rooftop jacuzzi and a couple of naughty turtles who lurk around the breakfast table waiting for scraps! On the subject of breakfast - this is the best I had during my month in Colombia. Delicious home made pastries, yogurt, fruit, eggs, fruit smoothies, bacon, toast and endless coffee. No need for lunch! My room was Le Mer. It was cozy, comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated and had good aircon. There's a tv with Netflix, a kitchenette but no utensils, only a fridge and some glasses. The fridge is full of mini bar purchases, so not much room for your food, unless you remove some first. As a solo female traveller, I felt very well cared for, all members of staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. I would return and would highly recommend Les Lezards to anyone.

Our stay was very nice. The property is well maintained with a small inside Oasis with turtles included. The personalized breakfast was incredible. The Africa suite is beautiful and VERY clean but it has a very strong smell of humidity(if asthma issues) and its tight for a family. They expected us with baby shampoo which was a wonderful touch and overall excellent service. Roman is a gem. Would stay here again.

The hotel is very authentic. It is more like an Airbnb, but you have your own room. The owner is really nice.. He helped me with everything and I felt very comfortable.. if you want an authentic unique experience, I recommend that you stay at this place. Convenient location, quiet once inside. Suite is small but uniquely decorated. Bed, although not an advertised King, had a very comfortable mattress. Staff is pleasant...So, what had spoiled our impression? Surprising charge for coffee pods provided to use in the suite coffee maker. Apparently those are treated as minibar item! Guess just a coffee maker is included, not the product. Truth being told, they were listed on minibar menu, we just never red it, because we had no interest in the "bar" items. Very strange for NA travelers especially when paying for a premium suite. Overall good place, just don't assume anything.

Tradional large family finca renovated into modern apartments, maintaining all the local artictecture and beauty of the walled fort city of Cartegena, similar to a traditional english cottage with thick white walls. Very beautiful architecture, traditional big house converted into apartments/rooms. Lovely hosts, al a carte breakfasts cooked to order, served from 8am until 11am, with family tortoise waiting for scraps😊 Comfy beds, clean rooms, big T.V.
