Edgbaston Park Hotel Birmingham

Friendly helpful reception staff. 2 security doors before reaching my room so felt very safe. Smallish room but very clean. Quiet location. No issues. Continental Breakfast option was quite good compared to some at others I have stayed in during the covid period. Would have been nice to have proper milk though, rather than UHT sachets, and a fridge.

Located next to the university of B'ham. Great if you're visiting the university. The hotel is quiet and clean but quite expensive compare to other 4 starts hotels in the city centre. Food was good and breakfast was the best.

We used the hotel to attend hospital appointments at the QE. The restaurant is closed because of Covid but the bar served meals and the breakfast was really good.

Overall, this is a great hotel. This would be exceptional if they implemented the changes once discussed. My colleague stays here almost weekly, and myself bi weekly depending on work commitments. Firstly, Greg behind the bar is an absolute star, nothing is ever too much trouble and he is a great asset to the hotel! I stay in hotels 4-5 days per week and the service Greg provides is probably one of the best! Sadly, this does not extend to the breakfast area which is where I experience basic issues time and time again. During a previous stay I fed back to management my issues along with what other hotels are doing in the hope this would help them. Following a recent stay it’s still no better. When breakfast is served there is always something missing. This really is basic; butter for toast, sauces for breakfast, item ordered off menu completely missed off. When something is missed you have to wait until you can get someone's attention by which point things are going cold. Two colleagues stayed recently and 1 of them they missed his breakfast completely! I have since stayed here and sadly no change, things are forgotten or missed completely. This area lets the hotel down in a big way, its what you pay for - room and breakfast and the latter is always a disappointment. However, those staying without breakfast then this hotel will meet all your needs. I cannot fault any other aspects, its a great place to stay and despite breakfast issues each time I will stay again.

My first stay at Edgbaston Park, and it won't be my last. From a warm welcome at a very late check-in to my departure, it was faultless. The staff could not have been more helpful (thanks, Ninesh!) - room service food was excellent, a great comfortable room, nice environment, and a perfect base to work away from home. High class.

Very clean and modern outlook. Warm and pleasant stay.

Stay was very good. Came as a family with 2 kids, staff were eager to help by providing a cot for the little one. Hotel is modern and new and very well kept. Immaculate room and bathroom. Spare towels provided. However only minus was amenities in the room. We could have done with a fridge, especially coming with children

Check-in and check-out were fine. Room was clean and tidy as always, no faults to be rectified. Breakfast, however, was disappointing. After being seated, we had to wait for over 20 minutes before our order was taken as we had been forgotten about. When our order came items were missing. When it came back again it was still wrong. Staff were polite and apologetic but the restaurant was not too busy so there was really no excuse.
