Saga Rental La Latina

I was disappointed with the apartment I got. It looked more modern in the pictures when we booked. I had chosen the penthouse. The elevator only took us to the 5th floor, so we had climb bunch of old stairs with our luggage to get to our booked apartment. The property was old, the floors had not been cleaned properly, the kitchen counters were dirty, the broken shower system did not work for us. We had to call the guy at reception to come and check it. He came late and somehow got it working. However, we ended up not taking showers as we had to leave. When I arrived in the apartment I complained about the dirty floors and counters, but the property manager said there was no cleaning staff at this time to clean it. So I ended up sweeping the floor and dusting myself. The access to the building was terrible as it is on a private street with only limited access to residential vehicles. We had to find parking 4 blocks away. Very inconvenient.

The room was more like an apartment which worked much better for us. We only ate lunch out! Only issue we had was the all night noice. We had a very loud bar downstairs which had nothing to do with the property. So I don’t blame them at all. This is city life in Europe. Want quiet? Go to the countryside. The two guys at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer. We spent about 6 nights there. Very centrally located. No garage so don’t rent a car while in Madrid.

This apartment hotel is in a great location. Everything is within a 10-45 min walk. Joel that checked us in was super friendly and helpful. If in madrid again will definitely stay more. Thank you!
