The Ellysian Boutique Hotel

way overpriced. Very sterile, all white floors and walls, with no atmosphere, austere, sparsely decorated. No Belizean character at all. More like South Beach, Miami Nice staff and location, but that's about it.

The staff at the Ellysian is OUTSTANDING! Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Food at the new restaurant is delicious; more dramatic and expensive than local fare.

The rooms are beautiful & spacious. Nice and quiet atmosphere.

Outstanding small beachfront hotel, with spacious rooms and very large accommodating bathrooms, all set on a beautifully manicured beachfront. The entire staff is absolutely amazing: super friendly & eager to accommodate your every need.

This property is rich of love and perfection the staff is amazing they made sure everything was perfect for me.

We enjoyed our stay at The Ellysian very much, the property is immaculate and I believe is the most modern, updated hotel in Placencia. I do wish there was a restaurant on the property, however the restaurant next door has very good food and the hotel has a bar at the pool. The hotel had pre-arranged transportation to and from Placencia airport that we appreciated very much. The only other amenity that would have been nice to have would be onsite laundry machines. However, in coming back to Placencia, my first choice will be The Ellysian.

Since it is the low season, few staff were available. The pool bar was not even open. Cannot believe the price we paid to stay in a basic room with a decent view for one night. This place has potential but customer service was non-existent. The staff were nice enough but really just there to say hello and goodbye. We have been to Belize many times and like trying new places, but this hotel lacks the Belizean service we are used to. Unfortunate!

Property was new and fresh, pool and rooms were great. the hotel does not have its own restaurant, been told it will have in the next few months

The hotel is very modern and chic. Our suite was enormous, spotless and well appointed. I can't say enough about the excellent staff. They are superb. Friendy, accommodating, and extremely professional while still being genuinely lovely people.
