Beautifully presented property located just outside of Swansea. We stayed in the Gypse Rose and found it to be sweet and cosy. Maureen and John are very attentive and friendly hosts.

We were thrilled to be John and Maureen's first guests, since they recently took over the Homestead. We had the most welcoming reception from them, that anyone could wish for. If you're interested in historic homes, this is definitely the place to stay.

Wonderful cottage stay
Stayed in the beautiful historic cottage. It is excellent and the size is a surprise as it looks quite small in photos. The hosts are great and gave us a tour of the property before settling in . The goats are very friendly and well worth saying hello to. It is a lovely place and future visitors will not be disappointed.

The host was a great and lovely lady. We stayed in the 2-bedroom house which was spacious and warm. Would highly recommend anyone dropping by Swansea to stay here! Don't forget to check out the goats, chickens and apple trees.

Gracious home with comfortable touches
We liked staying at Belmont Homestead. Our host greeted us and showed us around her property. She also recommended restaurants and wineries which were spot on for us. We loved the size of the gardens. We enjoyed the comfort of the home and the lounge. The bathroom is large. We were provided with premium shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion. Beware there is no internet! But mobile reception was strong enough that we could surf using our personal devices.

We loved the property. Very quaint and our stay in the Belford cottage was so nice! Kinda the host took time showing bus around and Answered all of our questions on where to eat, explore and visit around the east coast. There are 6 gorgoues goat, 2 alpacas, some chickens, 3 cats and a beautiful doggo called Lucy who is so fun an playful! There was complimentary chocolates and even some port wine for us to enjoy. We would recommend Belmont homestead to anyone who wants that country, farm experience :) exploring the property alone was a fun activity for us, we especially enjoyed the huge Trees surrounding a cute little Japanese Inspired garden And pond. Quaint, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. You can interact with the Goats, Alpacas and Chickens if this is your thing otherwise just watch them from your balcony.

The owner of this place is amazing and takes the time to explain the property and animals too you. Its 14 acres of pure bliss. You are surrounded by nature and best of all no internet to disturb you.
