Hostal Antigua - Hostel

Great location, property was well maintained daily, access to kitchen a definite plus, plenty of hot water, family atmosphere. Would have liked to see the upstairs terrace open until ten. Would recommend to friends and family 😎

Management and staff in this hostal are not honest. For 3 single reservations of $13 each, we received a bill of $105.00 Expedia and the staff at this hostal refused to refund the money overcharged to our credit card.

Be careful when you book through Expedia. Expedia charge you for a room for 2 people and at the hostal you receive a hospital bed for one person for the price of $45.98. Expedia pay for this bed $13 to the owner of the Hostel and take the rest apparently for service (booking online). People from Expedia lie to no end and never accept that they overcharge you. My experience with Expedia was the worse I ever had.

The couple who owned/worked at the hostal was amazing. They helped us book all the shuttles and excursions and let me use their phone for local calls. You could buy a cheap beer and sit up on the veranda to drink but only until 9pm. The fan in our room was really rickety and kept us up all night. The bathroom was a tight squeeze and the room was really basic without windows. Overall it was ok and what you would expect for the money.

We really thought Hostal Antigua was a great budget option! We have no complaints, and we had hot water, a comfy bed, and there is a kitchen to use if you want. The staff are lovely, and friendly!

El hostal está a menos de 10 minutos del Parque y el Arco, es pequeño con una bonita terraza con vista al Volcán de Agua. Mi único comentario es que cierran el acceso a la terraza y cocina a las 9pm lo que limita el acceso a la comida guardada en la refrigeradora y cenar tarde, pero pedimos en recepción que nos abrieran el candado en la madrugada pues teníamos un tour y no hubo problema; solo que esa no sería la idea. Por todo lo demás, la atención y el aseo estuvo súper bien.

Emplacement très central, près des restaurants, d'une épicerie et du Parque Central. Personnel accueillant Terrasse très jolie et bien équipée Seul point négatif, le plafond entre les chambres et la terrasse n'est pas insonorise donc tôt le matin on entend les gens parler, marcher et préparer leur déjeuner comme s'ils étaient dans notre chambre.

Bien ubicado, para llegar a pie a cualquier lado. Muy amable la señora se la recepción, nos ayudó a agendar algunos transportes. Lo único malo es que nos tocó la habitación N1, que al estar al lado de la recepción se escuchaba todo y nos costó mucho poder dormir
