Milky Way Ecolodge

We had a really great day out (well, half a day, but it took longer) in Wadi Rum. Not taking the camels we did miss a bit of the Lawrence of Arabia feeling but the landscape is amazing. We arrived in Wadi Rum village the evening before and were directed to the parking place where our guide met us. From there we were taken to the camp and shown the facilities. It was January and there was only one couple in addition to us. Dinner was traditional arabic sitting around a fire. We had extra blankets but the 'room' was very comfortable anyway and so slept well. The facilities were well maintained and clean. We were lucky that the owner was our guide and we had a really informative trip to most of the best places, including lunch with his cousin's family somewhere far out in the wadi. Would definitely recommend the Milky Way!

Für die Verhältnisse ein tolles Camp. Man sollte allerdings Camping lieben. Wir haben Gäste angetroffen, welche regelmäßig aus Amman kommen und das Camp als eines der besten beschrieben haben. Das Abendessen war auch wirklich lecker und ein Erlebnis. Anfahrt nur über Allrad. Wird am Village organisiert.

Komfortable Anlage in grandioser Umgebung. Super Team, aufmerksam und freundlich. Coole Jeep-Tour mit in faszinierender Natur. Würde auch länger bleiben. Hoher Erholfaktor. Absolut empfehlenswert.

A great experience and wonderful to see so many stars at night. Got a bit cold in the tent as it is not heated.

The location was beautiful. Desert trip very expensive with not much to see

Arrived Late at the camp and they didn’t have our Hotels.com reservation. Even though the place was full they cleaned up a tent that wasn’t fully built put in mattresses and made us feel very welcomed. So make sure to confirm your reservation. We were lucky Dinner was amazing breakfast was ok. The staff was great and very hospitable. Toilets are ok could be cleaner and the shower had Steaming hot water. All in all I highly recommend thIs place considering its in the middle of the desert. Wadi Rum is magical and a must-visit.

We had a very good stay in Milkyway Ecolodge ! We were warmly welcomed by Matar and his son Lell who took us to the first created camp of Wadi Rum! As the sun was setting down, Lell brought us to different spots for nice sunset pictures and a brief history of the area and the camps. Then we came back to the camp where we were also warmly welcomed by Mitrat who is managing the camp and had already prepared a traditional tea in the fireplace ! Our great surprise was to have the camp only for us as it was a quiet week when we were there. After having taken our tent and a relaxing (with hot water) shower, we were offered a huge dinner perfectly cooked by Mitrat with traditional tasty dishes. They also proposed us to enjoy the stars of the desert with a mattress. The silence of the night was only interrupted by some camels walking around which was really nice to see them so closely. The breakfast was as good as the dinner and Mitrat was kind and really helpful with us. I would definitely recommend to book your stay in this camp and also enjoy the tours that they propose to live the experience to have a cup of tea and a meal with some local bedouins !

Super lovely place to stay in Wadi Rum! The staff and communal areas were great, the room was perfectly warm in the cool evenings, and the bathroom facilities exceeded expectations. The food and the experience were awesome!

Superb location in wonderful, comfortable Bedouin tents. The loo block was built into the cliff face and had all the amenities and had powerful and hot showers. The food produced by Mohamed and Mohamed was simply delicious and we all had it together with the other guests inside the communal Bedouin tent with candles and rugs and log fire and chimney going up the centre of the tent. We had a wonderful relaxing time in the most spectacular scenery of Wadi Rum. We went on a safari with Fahed and a camel trek to various nearby sites for a morning. We made friends and had a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay if you would like to visit Wadi Rum.
